If applying your health insurance for payment your insurance must have massage benefits that specifically cover massage therapy or manual therapy that allows a licensed massage therapist without supervision. Medicaid funds will not cover massage.
We do accept no fault, personal injury or workers comp with pre authorization.
By submitting this form, the patient understands they are fully responsible for any fees and co-pay not covered by their insurance and will pay all bills in full by their credit card on file.

◦ Each insurance plan has a policy unique to each group. Many unions are often covered, Labor, IBEW, Teachers, University, North Star Borough, State of Alaska, Department of Homeland Security, Chief Andrew Issac, and Tanana Chief Conference.
◦ We will bill your insurance directly. We can check your insurance plan to give you information regarding deductible and co-pay.
◦ We recommend comparing your deductible, co-insurance, and co-pay for in network and out of network Massage Therapy.
◦ Sometimes even in network patients must meet high deductibles before they are even able to use their benefit of their insurance. We have clients come that may need to pay $200-$300 per visit out of pocket until the deductible is met Or, they may have to pay a high co-insurance due to inflated billing practices.
◦ Our patients find value in our highly personalized service, expert treatment, often once a week or less, depending on their individual plan of care. We provide individual one-to-one quality Session at a fair price. Your treatment is provided solely by a highly trained therapist and sessions last an hour or more.
◦ Yes, you can use your Health Savings Account or a pre-tax Flexcare account to pay for services at The Body School. We will provide you with a medical receipt for your records.
◦ We accept FSA/HSA cards, cash, check or credit card.
◦ Alaska does not requires a physician referral to see a Massage therapist.
◦ Many insurances may however require a prescription to submit for Exercise therapy and massage therapy benefits and to apply your costs towards an insurance deductible.
◦ If you do not have a prescription we can help you navigate how to get one and contact your doctor if needed.
◦ Each of our rooms has a chair you are more then welcome to attend the session with your child. We see this most often with children under 17 and we are happy to accommodate.
◦ The number of Massage sessions will depend on your specific insurance plan. When we do an initial insurance verification process, we will be able to tell you how many sessions are covered under your policy.
◦ This does not necessarily mean all sessions are approved. If there is a denial,you will need to call the insurance company directly to request more visits (sometimes they are nicer to you than they are to us!).
